Frequently asked questions about staying at Bracewell.

Our adventures are as safe as the backcountry can be. All our guides are experienced in the wild outdoors and know how to handle anything that could come up.

Our homestead is about a 4 hour drive from Williams Lake. You’ll be able to make the trip in any car, but be aware there is no service after leaving Williams Lake.

You will pay a 30% deposit to secure your spot. The rest is due 30 days before the adventure starts.

Once your booking is confirmed we’ll send you a packing list with suggested items, depending on which trip you’re going on.

There is no cell service but at the lodge we have WiFi in the morning and the evening. There will be no cell service during the trip.

Trips might get cancelled due to extreme weather conditions. We want everyone to have fun and be safe. We strongly suggest trip cancellation insurance for every guest. We will have alternatives for if a cancellation happens.

Yes there is in consideration of our horses. The trips are hard work for our horses so 230lbs is the maximum they can carry.

Even if you’ve never ridden a horse you’ll be competent by the time you leave!

While we can’t guarantee wildlife on most of our horseback rides you’ll have the opportunity to see plenty of wildlife. We are riding deep into unpopulated land after all.

Yes you can smoke outside and bring your own alcohol.

You can’t bring your own horse because of the difficulty of the terrain for the horses. Sadly you also can’t bring your dog.
